Our Special Needs Ministry History
Our ministry was created in support of the broader mission of union evangelistic baptist church." was formed out of an evangelistic outreach project under the leadership of evangelist rev. Dr. Aurelia bronaugh and a team of inspired members of union evangelistic baptist church.
Our purpose is to encourage, accommodate and promote the spiritual development of special needs children and adults who are mentally challenged and individuals with learning disibilities that limits their participation in traditional sunday school and the mainstream church.
Our mission is to provide them the opportunity to participate in worship services at their own level/ability of understanding. Also, to provide modified lessons equivalent to those taught in traditional sunday school, including (sensory special learning components through (songs, symbols, and celebration).
Our ministry goals were realized through the "Support and blessings of our pastor", the honorable rev. Dr. James r. Flint sr. Who embraced our vision and assigned the church annex at {1639 center ave.) as a sacred place for special needs worship, bible study and spiritual support to their families and caregivers.
The special needs team stay committed to acting on behalf of our special needs brothers and sisters as we continue to strive to be all that god has called us to be, firmly standing on zech 4:6
